Spend a day or a few hours at White Rock Lake Park.  There are a multitude of activities that you can do.

Jogging & running

Take a daily run at White Rock. Or train for the yearly BMW Dallas Marathon.  If you run the entire lake, it’s 9.33 miles on the trail.

Walk the City’s most popular trail

The White Rock Trail connects to a series of Dallas bike trails like the SoPac Trail and the Santa Fe Trail.

If you have a flat, help is just around the corner at Dallas Bike Works or Bike Mart Dallas.

If you are a sailor, join one of the two sailing clubs at White Rock – the Corinthian Sailing Club or the White Rock Boat Club or launch your boat at one of the many boat ramps around the lake.

Grab your kayak or canoe and go for a paddle.  If you’d like to help clean the lake, volunteer with the Padillacs.

Hike on a paved trail, or go off the paved trail in the Fish Hatchery.

Grab a table or bring your own blanket for a picnic at the park.

Rowing – Challenge, strengthen, and empower yourself mentally and physically by joining a rowing team! White Rock Lake is home base to two outstanding rowing organizations, White Rock Rowing and Dallas United Crew.

Dog walking

Take your dog to the White Rock Lake Dog Park to play well with others or go for a swim. Otherwise enjoy a walk on the paved trail! Please keep your dog on a leash and don’t forget to bring them water to stay hydrated!
